Shipping Policy

At Dogs Are Better, we know you’re excited to get your new gear (and your dog is probably excited for the mail carrier to arrive). Every item is made to order—we print your specific design only after you place the order.

1. Production & Processing

• Made to Order: Please allow 3–7 business days for us to print, pack, and prepare your order.

• Standard Shipping: We ship Monday through Friday. Tracking numbers are sent via email once your package wags its way out our door.

2. Domestic Shipping Rates (U.S. Mainland)

We use weight-based shipping to ensure you pay a fair price based on exactly what you ordered.

• The Little Pup (0–9 oz): $6.99 (Best for 1 T-shirt)

• Standard Bark (9–12 oz): $7.99 (Best for 1 Long Sleeve)

• The Lap Dog (12–19 oz): $8.99 (Best for 2 T-shirts)

• Heavy Barker (19–21 oz): $9.99 (Best for 2 Long Sleeves)

• The Big Dog (21–32 oz): $11.99 (Best for Hoodies or 3+ items)

• Double Dog (32–48 oz): $14.99

• The Whole Pack (48+ oz): $19.99

3. Military Addresses (APO/FPO/DPO)

We proudly ship to military addresses at our standard domestic rates!

• The Workaround: Our current website builder does not list military "states" (AA, AE, AP) in the dropdown menu. If you are shipping to a base, please email us at bark@dogsarebetterco.com. We will send you a secure, custom invoice via Stripe so you can complete your order.

• Customs: Please note that military mail requires mandatory customs processing which may add transit time.

4. U.S. Territories & Outlying Islands

We ship to Puerto Rico, Guam, USVI, American Samoa, and Northern Mariana Islands via USPS Airmail. Rates are calculated at checkout and typically start at $10.99.

5. International (Australia & New Zealand)

• Rates: International shipping starts at $19.99 USD.

• DAP Shipping: Customers are the "importer of record" and are responsible for any local customs duties, GST, or import levies applied by your government.

• NZ 2026 Update: Effective April 1, 2026, New Zealand has introduced a mandatory low-value goods levy on all air freight consignments. This is reflected in your final shipping cost at checkout.

6. Important Details

• Order Limits: Online checkout is available for orders up to 7.3 lbs. For bulk orders, contact us for a custom quote.

• Address Accuracy: Please double-check your address! We are not responsible for packages delivered to an incorrect address provided by the customer. Returned packages will require a new shipping fee to be resent.

• Missing Packages: We are not responsible for packages lost or stolen after they are marked as "Delivered" by the carrier.
