At Dogs Are Better, we decided it was time for apparel to catch up to our pets. We were tired of the "live, laugh, bark" fluff found in big-box stores. We wanted gear that captured the real relationship between humans and their four-legged bosses—the eye rolls, the stubbornness, and the unconditional (if slightly judgmental) love.

Our brand is built for the "unsociable" dog lovers. The ones who would rather be at home on the couch with their dogs than at a crowded party. We believe your sense of humor should be as bold as a puppy with a stolen shoe—which is why every shirt and hoodie is made with premium fabrics. We know dog hair is a "badge of honor," but it looks much better on high-quality fleece.

The Bigger Dream: Because "No-Kill" Isn't Enough

While we’re busy making you laugh today, we’re dreaming big for tomorrow. The reality for many dogs isn't always "sunshine and treats"—especially for the seniors.

Even in "no-kill" shelters, senior dogs face a heartbreaking plight. In a crowded system, a gray muzzle is often overlooked for a bouncy puppy. These "old souls" can spend their final years on a cold concrete floor, stressed by the noise, simply because they aren't the "fastest" or "cutest" option anymore. We think that’s garbage.

Dogs Are Better was founded to change the ending of that story.

Every purchase helps us get one step closer to our long-term goal: to build a senior dog sanctuary. We aren't just looking for a shelter; we're building a dedicated space where senior dogs can live out their golden years in total comfort—with soft beds, fireside naps, and all the treats their senior bellies can handle. We want to be the safety net for the dogs that the rest of the world thinks are "past their prime."

Based in West Lafayette, Indiana, and inspired daily by our mascot, Big E, we provide the wardrobe for your slow-motion walks while funding a future for the dogs who have already given a lifetime of loyalty.
